1st India - Russia Summer School on “High Performance Computing for Geophysical Problems” held in Nalchik, Russian Federation

Fifteen students and ten faculty members from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (India) participated in the 1st India -Russia Summer School on “High Performance Computing for Geophysical problems” held from 10-18 June 2013 at the Berbekov Kabardino-Balkaria State University, Nalchik (Russia). The Summer School trained both Indian and Russian students in various algorithms in the area of seismic wave propagation as well as the designing of disaster management solutions. The Summer School was held under the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of Supercomputer Technology and Education signed on 1 December 2011 between the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, and the Moscow Institute of Physics & Technology.
