Silver Dove Award to Mrs. Arti Soni
At a grand ceremony held in the Conference Hall of the Russian Presidential Administration in Moscow on 27 March 2014, an Indian national Mrs. Arti Soni (born 1969) was among the recipients of the 4th International Award for Social Recognition "Silver Dove" for her contribution towards promoting India - Russia cultural cooperation.
Mrs. Soni has been a long time resident of Moscow. She has been working as a correspondent for Voice of Russia/ Russia Today for more than 15 years. She is also the Chief Editor of Hindi Magazine "Vishwa Darpan" published fortnightly in Moscow. She has been actively involved in organising annual cultural events such as the birth anniversary of "Gurudev" Rabindranath Tagore in Moscow and other cities of Russia.
"Silver Dove" award, established in 2011 by International Union of Public Associations " Leaders of World Societies", Moscow is awarded every year to both Russian and Foreign Nationals contributing and defending public interests in areas such as economics, science,culture, public diplomacy and charity.
Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. P.S. Raghavan extended his warmest congratulations to Mrs. Soni on receiving the award, a fitting recognition of her work in promoting India - Russia friendship and cultural cooperation.
