Ambassador P.S. Raghavan visits the International University in Moscow, 18 February 2014
At the invitation of the International University in Moscow, Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. P.S. Raghavan addressed the students and faculty members of the University on 18 February 2014, on the theme ‘India - Russia: A Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership”. Ambassador Raghavan spoke about the historical linkages between the two countries dating back to several centuries, further strengthening of the multi-faceted and multi-dimensional relationship since the signing of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership in 2000, the present state of bilateral relations and endeavors being made by both sides to take cooperation to new heights. After the address, Ambassador answered questions and interacted with students and faculty members of the University. Questions ranged from setting up of an India Club at the University to steps being taken to strengthen economic cooperation. Over 100 students and faculty members attended Ambassador’s address. Ambassador also separately met the Rector of the University, Prof. Sergey Krasavchenko and the Vice Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dmitry Kuzin. It was agreed that the Embassy and the University would remain in touch with each other on issues such as educational exchanges and cultural cooperation.
