Road Show on Global Exhibition on Services (Ges)

A Road Show on the First Global Exhibition on Services (GES) being organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 23rd to 25th April, 2015 was held on 4 March 2015 in Moscow. The focus sectors for the first GES are: Education, Energy and Environment, Healthcare, IT and Telecom, Logistics, Media & Entertainment, Professional Services, Space, R&D, and Tourism. At the Road Show Mr. Sandeep Arya, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India underlined that India was a growing economy including services and Russia was a net importer of services(by US$58.3 billion), which underlines opportunities for expanding cooperation and utilizing synergies in this sector. Ms. Amita Sarkar, Deputy Director General, CII mentioned the programme of the exhibition and opportunities for participation, including seminars being held on sidelines. Mr. Harish Nagpal, CEO, Tata Sky Limited presented Developments and possibilities of cooperation in IT, media and entertainment sector. The CII delegation which travelled for promoting the Global Exhibition on Services met with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to convey invitation for Russian high level participation in the Exhibition. They also met the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Business Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission in this regard.
