India-Russia Military Exercise 'INDRA 2014" held at Prudboi ranges, Volgograd region from 23 September - 03 October 2014
The seventh joint India – Russia Military Exercise ‘INDRA 2014’ was held at Prudboi ranges, Volgograd region from 23 September to 03 October 2014. The joint military exercise involved 250 service personnel from Indian Army and around 350 service personnel from Russian Army. As part of ‘INDRA 2014’, troops of Indian and Russian Army undertook active counter terrorist operations including clearance of a built up area under terrorist control.
‘INDRA 2014’ is a part of regular exchange of joint exercises between the armed forces of India and Russia. Together with the naval exercise in July 2014 and Air Force exercise in end August 2014, the holding of Army exercise completes the cycle of bilateral exercises involving the armed forces of the two countries.
