Avia Indra-2014

The first joint India-Russia Air Exercise ‘Avia Indra-2014’ is taking place in Russia from August 25 to September 4, 2014. An eighteen member Indian Air Force team is participating in the exercise, which involves exchange of best practices in counter-terrorism training with helicopters, joint flights in fighter aircraft, fire-fighting and air defence.

‘Avia Indra-2014’ is part of regular exchanges of joint exercises between the armed forces of India and Russia. In the current sequence, the two navies held joint exercises from July 14 to 19, 2014 off the coast of Vladivostok. The two armies will hold their joint exercise, which will also focus on counter-terrorism actions, in September-October 2014.
