The Ambassador of India met the doyen of Indological studies in Russia, Academician E.P.Chelyshev on August 14.
Their conversation dwelt on Academician Chelyshev’s significant contribution to Indology and his decades-long involvement with India-Soviet and India-Russia relations. Academician Chelyshev paid warm tribute to his long-time friend and associate, Dr Madan Lal Madhu. He also had some valuable words of advice on the organization of the forthcoming Regional Hindi Conference by the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Centre at the Russian State University for the Humanities Moscow on 13-15 October, 2014.
