Ambassador attended 6th India Russia Business Dialogue

Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. P.S. Raghavan attended the plenary session of 6th India Russia Business Dialogue which was organized by Indian Business Alliance in association with the Business Council for Cooperation with India on October 14, 2014.

The Ambassador welcomed the organization of the Dialogue which provides a platform for business of both countries to interact and understand the opportunities for furthering trade and investment cooperation. He emphasized the importance of bridging the awareness gap between businesses of India and Russia, so that they can take full advantage of the complementarities of the two economies in fields like IT, automobiles, chemicals, biotechnology and other engineering sectors.

Second Secretary (Economic & Commercial) of the Embassy, Shri Ashish Sharma, made a presentation on the opportunities for India-Russia economic cooperation in the particular context of the ‘Make in India’ initiative recently launched by the Prime Minister of India, which includes substantial measures taken by the Government of India to facilitate investment, foster innovation, enhance skill development and build high-quality manufacturing infrastructure in the country to transform it into a global manufacturing hub.
