Sports Authority of India invites foreign sports coaches
Sports Authority of India, the national sports institution of India, is desirous to hire the services of coaches in the fields of Athletics (Throws, Jumps & Sprints), Boxing, Volley Ball, Weightlifting and Wrestling (GR/FS) to impart training in preparation of Indian Team for 2020 Olympics.
The general terms and conditions of the job are as follows -
- 1. Development of Indian players and training of attached Indian coaches.
- The agreement will be for a period of 2 years initially and reviewed every two years and extendable upto 2020 Olympics on the basis of the performance of the coach and a team/individual.
- Salary of a foreign coach will be upto a maximum of Rs.2.5 lakhs per month (approximately equivalent to US $ 5000), which is negotiable according to qualification, experience and achievements. Payment will be 60% in USD and 40% in Indian currency.
- Expenses of medical treatment of a coach, spouse and one child through medicalaim policy of Rs. 2 lakhs (approximately equivalent to US $ 4000) for each person.
- General Insurance cover will be to the extent of Rs.10 lakhs (approximately equivalent to US $ 20000) against accidental, damage/death and working hazards.
- Economy class air passage will be provided to each member of family as mentioned in in para-4 above.
- The excess Personal baggage upto 40 kg. per member of the family will be allowed.
- Leave upto 30 days per annum on pro-rata basis.
- Furnished accommodation will be provided in India.
- Transport (including travel and technical services) for official purpose visit to a hospital in case of illness and once in a week for marketing.
- Sports kit to the coach will be provided once in a year.
- Transportation and free boarding and lodging facilities will be provided on official trips.
- Initially, coach will be on probation for a period of 3 months. Preference will be given to the coach from the Government agency, if any.
