The Embassy of India is organizing “India-Russia Education Conference” on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Rossiya Savodnaya Auditorium, 4 Zubovsky Boulevard, Moscow-119021. The objective of the conference is to discuss various issues relating to educational cooperation between India and Russia with a view to strengthening it further. The possibility of increasing the number of Indian students in Russia will also be explored.
The Conference will be attended by university Rectors, Vice Rectors, International Deans and officials from the Russian Ministries of Education and Health apart from educational consultants, student leaders, community leaders and other stakeholders. We have also invited the Minister of Education, Russian Federation to be our Chief Guest at the conference.
India and Russia have a long history of cooperation in the field of education. There are thousands of Indian students who have acquired their graduation and higher degrees in the fields of medicine, engineering, arts and language from the Russian Universities since the middle of the last century. This trend continues till date and currently about 7,000 Indian students are studying in various universities across the Russian Federation. Indian students study all over the world in large numbers and with proper guidance and dissemination of information there is a possibility of increasing the number of Indian students in the Russian Federation manifold. There is also a need to improve the educational experience of the students studying in the Russian Federation and make the admission process and post admission management more student-friendly and transparent. These are some of the main issues which will be deliberated upon during the conference for appropriate resolution.
