WORKING HOURS:

Applications are accepted at the counter between 1000-1230 hours on all working days and delivered between 1700 – 1800 hours.

DELIVERY OF PASSPORTS:

With the introduction of Machine Readable Passports(MRPs) Scheme with effect from August, 2007, all the passports being issued by the Embassy of India, Moscow would now be printed in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. The process would take around 3-4 weeks from the date of application. However, in emergency cases, the applicant can also apply for the new passport by paying Emergency Fee i.e. Rbls.3950/- and the handwritten passport would be issued with six months validity only. The applicant again has to apply for a regular passport before expiry of the passport by paying normal passport fee i.e. Rbls.1250/-.

However, other Consular Services are rendered on the same day.

Fee once received cannot be refunded, even if the application is withdrawn or the service is refused.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

(i) Please read all instructions on the application form carefully before filling it out.
(ii) Application forms should be filled in full, legibly and accurately. Incomplete and illegibly filled forms are returned without service.
(iii) An Indian citizen who acquires Russian citizenship should surrender his/her Indian Passport to the Embassy for its cancellation. Possession of both Russian and Indian passports is illegal.

Travel Advisory for Russian Tourists
visiting India


Travelers from the Russian Federation may note that in order to control the spread of Influenza A(H1N1), health authorities in India are carrying out screening of incoming passengers from affected countries, including the Russian Federation, at all International Airports in India. This would involve quarantine, hospitalization, etc. in case of detection of symptoms connected with flu. Government of India requests the cooperation of all concerned in this matter.
