Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and Storage of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of India, on the one side, and Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation, on the other side, hereinafter referred to as the "Sides":
RECALLING the International Plant Protection Convention (Rome, 1951, in the edition of 1997); and the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine and plant protection (Moscow, 1997);
RECALLING ALSO the provisions of legislations in the field of plant quarantine and protection of each Side;

Travelers from the Russian Federation may note that in order to control the spread of Influenza A(H1N1), health authorities in India are carrying out screening of incoming passengers from affected countries, including the Russian Federation, at all International Airports in India. This would involve quarantine, hospitalization, etc. in case of detection of symptoms connected with flu. Government of India requests the cooperation of all concerned in this matter.
